Do you know someone who always seems to jump to conclusions, and it causes a lot of confusion? Or they misinterpret a phrase and are convinced that you meant it in a certain way and that clearly wasn’t your intention. You’re not crazy. It’s possible that their thoughts are cognitive distortions which are ways the mind convinces us of something that isn’t really true.
What you think and how you think matters. Consider these 3 distortions:
(1) Filtering -taking the negative details and magnifying them, while filtering out all positive aspects of a situation.
(2) Polarized Thinking. This means things are either “black or white” with no shades of gray.
(3) Jumping to Conclusions
Remember, what you think you become; what you feel you attract; what you imagine you create.
